Hi and welcome here at Baby Gifts, the most fun place to be when there’s a bundle of joy on the way.
I’m Linda as you might have seen when you look to your right and scroll down a bit.
But just in case you don’t feel like scrolling right now, here’s a picture of me:
My kids are almost grown up, one is 13 and the other 16.
So why am I so interested in babies and baby gifts?
December 2014 the most unthinkable (to me) thing happened in our lives.
With my kids already going to high school (who I’m homeschooling by the way) they’re all grown up.
In December 2014, I started realizing I’m pregnant. Missing my period was the dead give away.
I bought a home pregnancy test and found that it was true.
My next biggest thing was I had to tell my hubby.
We worked together, so it was no trouble going to him and it did not seem odd either.
When I told him I was pregnant, I started crying, but seeing he was also excited about this new baby, I didn’t even cry for 5 minutes.
We made an appointment to go see the doctor, but because she is very busy, we had to wait about 4 weeks before we could see her.
The entire family was excited. A new baby is on the way.
On the day at the doctor, we were all there.
We were ready for the sonar and the kids were also standing there.
As soon as the doctor started with the sonar, she started to look worried.
She said that there was no heartbeat.
My poor kids were inside the room when she said that, so she tried to do it in such a way that they would not quite understand.
Then the floodgates opened. I started crying and couldn’t stop.
I had to make an appointment to go to the hospital for a scrape, but I refused to. I believed that everything was going to be Okay.
Two days later, I started bleeding and realized that this was a miscarriage.
I knew then that there was no saving this baby. I went to hospital for the scrape and soon everything was over as fast as it started.
Within a month after finding out I was pregnant, we lost the baby.
I still have the sonar picture of the baby, 7 weeks 4 days old.
I cried for days before and after loosing the baby.
Our first child was disabled and died at the age of almost 6 years and I realized, if I didn’t have a miscarriage, maybe this baby would also have been disabled.
And although I know we are not the only people who went through this, I just wanted to share my baby story with you.
Why am I telling you this?
Just to show you how much I love babies and I believe they are a gift from God.
So, if you have a bundle of joy on the way, I invite you to feel welcome here at Baby Gifts and take a look around.
Surely here you will find the perfect baby gift for your family, friend or your own special bundle of joy.
